Our standard post-construction cleaning service checklist is below – please note that any specific needs or requests can be added during your booking just let us know either by phone, email or message:
1. Overhead Dusting
Dust the tops of entertainment cabinets, standing wardrobes and door jams. Most areas can be accessed with long-handled dusters, but a ladder is the safest way to reach ceiling fans, fire sprinklers and smoke detectors. Dust light diffusers, light fixtures and bulbs, air vent grates, and the tops of entertainment hutches, armoires, and door jams.
2. Windows, Sills and Frames
Vacuum window tracks to remove dust and debris. Polish interior glass, clean sills, and wipe down frames and hardware. Removes any stickers or residue of acrylic/silicone that is left during the construction.
3. Furniture, Trim and other Woodwork
Vacuum and clean furnishings with special attention to deep spaces between cushions. Check for stains, and treat with spot remover. Clean wood trim and other woodwork with furniture polish or wood oil and shine metal and laminates with all-purpose cleaners.
4. Shelves, Cabinets and any other Built-in Interiors
Clean inside closets, inside cabinets, and on top of shelves paying special attention to those hard-to-reach corners. Remove drawers and clean underneath as well as checking for scuffs and smudges.
5. Walls, Baseboards and Doors
Dust and clean baseboards. Wipe down walls with an all-purpose cleaner sprayed on sponges. Avoid streaks by working upward from floor level. Clean switch plates, wall outlets and charging stations. Wipe down doors on both sides including frames, knobs, locks and hinges.
Thorough cleaning of the bathroom and common toilet. Check and remove residue of grout, paint and cement on floor and wall. Wipe and disinfect the toilet, handle and countertop.
7. Carpets, Rugs and Upholstery
After the construction, the result can not only look filthy, but also cause itchy, irritating reactions for friends, family, employees or guests. Vacuum all soft surfaces, paying close attention to the details. Stain removal, vacuuming, shampooing and extracting dust, dirt and grime from the upholstery and carpet. 8. Kitchen and Pantry
Clean interior and exterior of rangehood, refrigerator, oven, and other appliances. Make sure all the stickers or plastic cover are carefully removed in this way not to attract and keep the dust and dirt in the future. Thorough cleaning of countertop, sink, cupboard, cabinets and drawers.
Remove any residue of paint, mud, cement and debris from hinges. Mopping and vacuuming of flooring, paying attention to the corners as well as the hard to reach area/s. Deep cleaning, stripping, waxing, polishing and crystallization of natural stone floorings, ceramic tiles, concrete, wooden and elastic floorings (e.g. PVC, Linoleum, and Rubber) as well as carpeted areas.
